No matter what you do in life you should always put family first.
I was just reading online the other day that Phil Mickelson will be leaving the PGA Tour indefinitely because his wife Amy has been diagnosed with breast cancer. You can read the article here
Phil Mickelson is ranked number two in the world of golf. I understand that he makes a lot of money so he can afford to leave the Tour, but this sort of thing really says a lot about Phil as a person. He’s a man who cares more about his wife than any amount of money. Everyday we must go to work to make money to provide for our families, but when there is no more money to be made, our family will still be there. Will you choose your family over money?
I hope so.
I would encourage everyone to spend time with their families this weekend. There is plenty of money to be made, but you only get one family, so enjoy every moment you share with them. And guys, instead of spending all weekend in front of the television watching sports, why not take your wife out for dinner, or surprise her with her favorite flowers. Or both. Hope everyone has an awesome weekend with their families.
I will be photographing a wedding this weekend and watching two wonderful families come together to form another beautiful one.
Always remember to love your family unconditionally, and put your family first just like Phil did.
