Hey folks, Happy Friday to you all. I know it’s been a while since I last posted. I’ve been pretty busy with finishing up this years wedding season and getting ready for next year. I’ve updated our website jaysonsphotography.com. When you visit you will find four new sub-buttons under Jayson including my gear, a link to order your wedding and engagement prints as well as frequently asked questions and a slideshow. We have also updated our pricing to now include a custom designed 8×8 album under the pricing button, as well as some information about Hi-Resolution DVD’s, portrait pricing, albums and a few album design samples. We will be adding more to the site in the next few weeks, so be sure to bookmark it and check back periodically.

Hey folks. Happy Wednesday. Sorry I haven’t posted in a while. I’ve been pretty busy photographing some pretty awesome weddings. I wanted to let you know that we just signed on with Zenfolio. I had a great time photographing Jennifer and Robert today. They were a little shy in front of the camera at first, but they warmed up to it rather quickly. They are a wonderful couple and I’m very excited to be capturing their special day. Here are a few shots from today’s amazing session.

Hey folks! Happy Wednesday. I hope everyone is having a great week and finds some time to relax today. It’s been pretty busy around here lately. I have been working on designing and taking pictures for the Westover Golf Course website. www.westovergolfcourse.com It’s a beautiful golf course located in Granby, Massachusetts, so if you’re a golfer and you’re in the area, be sure to play a round there. It’s one of the best courses in Western, MA for a really great price.

We are getting ready to photograph some pretty awesome weddings with some pretty amazing couples. Wedding season is an exciting time around here. We love getting to know every couple that we photograph and being apart of their very special day.

Patient Photographer

The easiest part about being a photographer is taking the picture. The hardest part is waiting for that moment to arrive. It takes a lot of patience, but in the end it’s incredibly rewarding. For the past couple of weeks I have been photographing images of a golf course for their brand new website. Photographing a golf course is very different than photographing people. Instead of waiting for your subject to smile or laugh you are waiting for the sun to shine. Often times while waiting for the perfect shot you encounter people playing golf. This is where the patience really begins and my job becomes even tougher. My goal is to photograph the course and not the people, so each hole I wait for the sun to illuminate the hole and golfers to exit stage right. Sometimes I just wait for the wind to wave the flag, that could be the difference between a good image and a great one.

Think of all the things that we wait for in life. Our car to warm up (if you live in New England) Our food to be cooked and you wait for me to blog a new post. I just read that on average a person spends an estimated 45 to 62 minutes waiting everyday. That’s about 15 days a year spent waiting. So what’s a few extra minutes for that perfect shot. I love my job and I don’t mind waiting if in the end I produce something like this.

From time to time people ask me what kind of camera I shoot with. I always tell them, but more importantly it’s who’s behind the camera. There are a bunch of different companies out there making cameras, some good, some not so good. It is important to remember that it’s not the camera that makes the photographer. It doesn’t matter if you are shooting with a Canon or a Kyocera. What matters the most is the images you are producing with it. Here are a few images I took with my camera phone.
