San Diego California Trip – Part 1

Hey folks. I just got back from my amazing trip to San Diego California where I was visiting my sister and husband and their new baby Justin. I have a lot of photos to share with you, but they’ll have to wait until later. I am still a little jet lag from my flights yesterday. For now, check out this cool landscape image I created of The Coronado Bridge. There are so many great sites to see in California, and this is one of them.

Remember Saturday Morning Cartoons

Happy Friday everyone. Don’t you just love Friday’s? A time to go home and relax, and maybe sleep in on Saturday. Growing up I used to love Saturdays, mostly because of Saturday morning cartoons. One of my favorite cartoons to watch was The Jetsons, although I don’t believe this was shown on Saturday mornings. Of course I loved a lot of other cartoons like Alvin & The Chipmunks. Duck Tales, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to name a few. I think one of the main reasons why I loved The Jetsons so much was because it took place in the future. Another reason being George only had to work three days a week, How awesome is that? maybe that’s why I’m a wedding photographer. j/k Remember those days?

What ever happened to Saturday Morning Cartoons? What will our children grow up with? I’m scared for todays youth, who are now growing up with cartoons like Family Guy and The Simpsons. Gone are the days where cartoons and shows taught a positive message. However, It is great that a lot of these cartoons and television shows are now on DVD, so we can share our youth with our children. Maybe I’m being a little bias because I’m a 80’s kid and I had a cup of nostalgia for breakfast, but there needs to be more shows for children that portrays a positive message. Even I am tired of seeing reality shows and crime dramas being broadcasted on every station.

What were some of your favorite cartoons and shows to watch growing up?

Yesterday we celebrated little miss Hannah’s 1st Birthday Party, which happened to be a hot and humid one. When she blew out the candles I believe she wished for her next birthday party to be in the air conditioning Here are a few images of the birthday girl.

Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. I had a great time hanging out with my family and watching The Masters. I was a little disappointed that Tiger or Phil didn’t win, but it was a great tournament to watch. My Niece Hannah was all dressed up in her cute little Easter dress. Here she is trying to figure out how to open and close a plastic Easter egg.

Happy Friday everyone. It’s the first day of Spring. Hooray, we made it. Finally some nice weather. We got a neat little update for our website coming soon. We are working on it right now. It is going to affect the way you navigate our moments gallery. I can’t wait to show it to you. Anyways, I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend. Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Happy St. Paddy’s Day everyone. I just read over at Wikipedia that the Chicago River is dyed green each year for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration. How cool is that. I’m not Irish but I’m celebrating the day by wearing a little green. Speaking of the color green, I will be in Boston tomorrow watching the Boston Celtics take on the Miami Heat. The game is being televised on ESPN so look for me behind the hoop.

The Sun is Shining

With Spring right around the corner we here at Jayson’s Photography are getting pretty excited. Wedding Season is upon us, which means we are getting geared up for some pretty amazing weddings with some pretty awesome couples.

The weather has been amazing this weekend, it’s 61 degrees out today. All the snow is almost gone and it’s finally time to take that Maserati out of the garage and let the top down. haha.

Every time FedEx or UPS stops by, I get excited. I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s their cool trucks or nifty uniforms. It always feels like Christmas when they pull up to my house; like they have something special they are delivering. Even if it’s something other than camera equipment, I get excited. I always wonder why they knock on the door sometimes and walk away and other times they want you to sign. Am I supposed to sprint to the front door when I hear this knock? And then when I open the door and see that there is a package, am I supposed to smile and say,”Oh, FedEx you shouldn’t have.” Today FedEx showed up and I thought to myself, “Did I order something?” (How quickly we forget.)Then it hit me, “Celtics tickets. YES!!! ”

I suggested to my friend, a little while ago, that it would be pretty awesome to go see an NBA game. We both have never been before. When I was younger, I always wanted to go see a Chicago Bulls game, to marvel at Michael Jordan getting some serious hang time. But that never happened. I feel like I am living out my childhood dream, even if MJ isn’t playing. I decided that if this is the only game I ever get to witness, I might as well go all out and get floor seat tickets. So that is where I will be on Wednesday, March 18th at 7:00PM I am very excited, as you can tell from this post!
