My Wedding Day Attire by 413 Studios

I recently hired Chris Tucker from 413 Studios to take some photos of my wedding day attire and gear, no not the Chris Tucker from those Jackie Chan films. During a wedding I equip my body with two Canon EOS Digital SLR bodies, the Canon 7D and Canon 5D Mark II. I attach my Canon 70-200 IS f/2.8L lens to the 7D for a little extra length and my Canon 24-70 f/2.8L lens to the 5D Mark II for maximum wide angle. I wear a camera strap made by Rapid called the double strap. This allows me to carry two cameras at once while still being able to keep my hands free. 413 Studios covers all of Western Massachusetts with amazing HD videography and is located in Belchertown.

Check out one of 413 Studios recent commercials they created for the Holyoke Community College Media Arts Center.

Steven Spielberg shows up to wedding while filming Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull in New Haven, CT.

With the release of Indiana Jones the Complete Adventures on Blu-ray yesterday, I thought I would post more photos from the wedding I shot in New Haven, CT where Steven Spielberg showed up. Karin and John were set to be married at Dwight Chapel located on the Yale University campus, but Steven Spielberg had different plans. Apparently that church interfered with the background of his newest Indiana Jones installment Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Karin and John had to settle for Battell Chapel, also located on the Yale University campus. Spielberg felt bad about buying out the church Karin and John were to get married in that he came over and got pictures with the entire wedding party. A huge thank you to Joel Giacobozzi for helping me capture these amazing moments of Steven Spielberg, Karin and John and their wedding party. Instead of saying cheese Spielberg got a good laugh out of the wedding party by telling everyone to say ET.

Caine’s Arcade

This past school year I showed my class a video about a 9 year old boy named Caine who created an Arcade out of cardboard. I loved this video so much because when I was younger I was creating mini golf courses throughout my house, not to mention I loved arcades. Caine is an absolutely genius and has changed the lives of young kids throughout the world. He has taught everyone to be creative with nothing more than cardboard. I have posted the video of Caine’s Arcade below and the follow up video that shows the impact Caine has had on young kids throughout the world. If one kid can make a difference, you can to. I want to encourage everyone to Be Creative like Caine.

Here is a video of one of Caine’s newest games. Ticket Grab

And a video of Jack Black visiting Caine’s Arcade.

The Avengers Iron Man sketch and Digital Painting

When I was one I always had a pencil and a drawing pad in my hands. I come from an artistic family and I was always creating at such a young age. This is one reason why I am so drawn to photography. Instead of a pencil and a pad, I can be creative with a camera and a lens. We are all created to be creative, we just create in different ways. Recently I went back to the pencil and pad and I created a picture of my favorite Avenger, Iron Man. I then took a picture of the drawing and imported it into my iPad and digitally colored the sketch. Here are the sketches of Iron Man leading up to the finished painting.

Belchertown High School senior portraits at Mount Holyoke College

I’m really enjoying photographing senior portraits. I absolutely love capturing their personalities in a relaxed portrait. Seniors are much more relaxed in a outdoor environment. I enjoy studio work but I love being able to quickly change the background in a nature setting. Here are a few photos that I captured of Zach who will be a senior this year at Belchertown High School in Massachusetts. What a great smile.
